These machines use a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) drain pump. The control board monitors the electrical current the pump consumes; if debris prevents the impeller from turning, the resulting current spike causes the board to stop the cycle to avoid burning out the motor. Additionally, the white plastic pump cover inside the sump is vital for water flow. If this cover is missing or loose—perhaps after a routine cleaning—the pump cannot generate the necessary pressure to push water out, leading the system to detect an error and stop the cycle, often leaving water sitting in the bottom of the tub.
