The E3 error code on a Samsung dryer alerts you to a fault within the motor system, specifically indicating that the motor is either overloaded or failing to rotate as expected. The main control board continuously monitors the motor's electrical current and rotational feedback. If the board senses that the current is too high (an overload) or fails to receive the appropriate signal from the motor's centrifugal switch, it stops the cycle and triggers the E3 code to prevent electrical damage or overheating. This issue can be caused by physical obstructions like a jammed blower wheel, a broken belt wrapped around the pulley, or a seized drum. It can also point to electrical malfunctions, such as a faulty motor relay on the main control board or a failing drive motor winding.
